Sinopsis/Synopsis
For over 20 years Margarito Montes Parra, leader of the UGOCP (Unión General Obrera, Campesina y Popular) has been terrorizing the region of the Papaloapan river, murdering and dispossessing the small farmers in the vicinity to get their land in what is indeed a natural and fertile paradise. Until one man stood up to him: César Toimil, born in Acatlán de Pérez Figueroa, Oaxaca, was the first idealist of the twenty-first century, a fighter for the rights of his people who managed to bring together more than 20,000 people in his organization, the CROCUTM. This documentary tells the story of César in the words of his family and the people who took part in the events, refuting the version of the government that accuses him of stealing cattle and drug-dealing...
